The Alabama-base Improvisation group '''TRANS''' performed a concert of new music Improvisation [[Presented by::Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts]] on [[Event date:=November 19, 1988]]. Group members Davey Williams and LaDonna Smith from Birmingham, Alabama informed staff that years before they had played the UICA on [[Front Street]]. Improvisation incorporates blues, classical, jazz, et. al. in direct responsive techno effect music. The event was held in the performance space in the [[Venue::UICA building (Race street)|UICA building]] on [[Race Street]].
