This is a working page for the Civic Studio Wealthy Project. The project is focussed on public space along the full length of Wealthy - end to end. Each studio member is researching a section of the street and reporting findings on Viget. The sections include the vicinity of Wealthy north and south.

Structuring Articles for the Project

Here are a few suggestions for structuring pages. These things will make it possible to create maps and lists from the project. It will also make the data available to the whole Viget in ways that are very useful.

• Add the category "Wealthy Civic Studio" to each item (article, image) that you create as part of the project. You can do this by typing [[cateogory:Wealthy Civic Studio]] or by using the green link in the edit tools at the bottom of the edit page.
• Add Geographic Coordinates to each item. These should go into a 'semantic' code. The easiest way to do this is to use the "Edit w/Coordinates Form". There is a green link for this in the edit tools section found at the bottom of every edit page. You can find out the coordinates by using the google map function on the edit page. To find the spot you can either search the address in the search window or place a pointer on the map in the location. Find the code for the coordinates in the code that gets generated on that page. These can be copied into the text box and then copied into the form after you click the "edit w/form" link.
• Use the "Building" Form to include data about the building. There is a "Add a Building" link in the green service area at the bottom of every page. There are also green links for this form in the edit tools section of the edit page. To make a new page about a building, use the "Create w/Building Form"; for editing existing pages use the "Edit w/Building Form". You don't have to fill in every box, just the one's you have info for. The form will code and format the information you put in.
• Address Page First. The default page for each site, building or address should be one with the full address as the article name: i.e. 344 Madison Avenue SE. This building page can serve as the main and initial page for information about that site. Other "names" like business names can be included as links in the page and created as separate pages later as they get more information. Redirect pages can be made as well with these additional names so that searches lead to the Building address page.

Wealthy Maps

The Wealthy Map Page has various maps of items being generated by the project. This includes a map of all articles, a map of just images, and a map with everything.

Wealthy Image Gallery

Wealthy_Image_Gallery Includes all images on Viget that have "wealthy" in the image title. Most of these came from the City of Grand Rapids Assessor's Office.

Project Sections Map

This map includes marks that divide the length of Wealthy into 15 sections. Each pin marks the west end of each section. Each section extends to the beginning of the next section. Section 15 ends at Reeds Lake.
