Map-Related Anger is a common condition among Michigan residents. Because Michigan is so easily identified on maps and satellite images, residents may become uncomfortable or angry when projections skew the shape of the state (for instance on a small globe). This can also take the form of joy, however, when the shape is exceptionally poorly rendered. Mapping-related joy is especially prevalent when examining early maps of the area.
