Lucious Lyon (February 26, 1800–September 24, 1851) was a founding father of Grand Rapids. He owned much of the land surrounding Louis Campau's property. Calling it the Village of Kent, Lyon is well known for his legendary dispute with Campau over how the streets in their two neighboring towns should be platted.
